Greetings and welcome Summer!
If we’ve seemed a little quiet lately, it’s not for lack of exciting goings on. We’ve been working behind the scenes on our new album and we’re almost ready to announce a release date and other exciting details.
Just four shows on the docket for June before we hit the ground running again in July.
The big one is our First Annual Chess Records Tribute, Friday June 12 at Lee’s Liquor Lounge. This year we decided to rebrand our Annual Howlin’ Wolf tribute to include all of Wolf’s Chess contemporaries, themed in year one to honor Muddy Waters’ and Willie Dixon’s 100th birthdays. Well be joined by Tone House, Loons in the Attic, Mari Harris & Robert Hilstrom, Innocent Sons, and our headliner, Big George Jackson. The other two shows we’re playing this month are outdoors. We’ll be playing Rochester’s Thursday’s on First & Third June 11 acoustic, and in Bryant Square Park in Minneapolis on Tuesday June 23.
And then to kick off next month, we’ll again be playing Park Rapids’ Second Street Stage on Thursday June 2.
